I have painted portraits professionally for over thirty years. Most of my work has been with children. I particularly enjoy working with children because their faces are so open, and they have not yet learned to disguise their feelings and their personalities. When I look deep into a child's eyes, I feel that I can see into their hearts. They haven't yet learned how to protect themselves, and I find their vulnerability endearing and adorable, but also something I respect.
